7 Youth Public Relations Ambassadors Chosen for the Korean Society of Oregon!

We are thrilled to announce the selection of 7 outstanding individuals, including Aaron Kim, after a highly competitive process.

The appointment ceremony took place on August 15th, marking the beginning of their journey to promote Korean culture and empower the youth with positive influence.

As part of the Korean Association’s commitment to nurturing healthy future talent, these ambassadors will play a vital role in spreading a vibrant and wholesome youth culture.

Let’s join hands in supporting these remarkable young ambassadors as they contribute to the betterment of our community and the promotion of Korean heritage.

The Korean Society of Oregon (led by President Kim Heon Soo and Chairman Eum Ho Young) has chosen 7 passionate and dedicated youth to be public relations ambassadors. An appointment ceremony will take place at the Korean Community Center on August 15th 11 am.

The Youth Public Relations Ambassadors Steering Committee, chaired by Kim In-ja, highlighted the intense competition among students who aspire to be youth ambassadors. The Korean Association established this program to empower and support the growth of young individuals, fostering future talent and community engagement.

The first youth public relations ambassador will serve as a role model, promoting a healthy culture among youth and sharing Korean heritage with mainstream American society through language proficiency and active participation in volunteer activities for the Korean community.

Chairman Kim In-ja described the selected ambassadors as dream trees, symbolizing the future of the Korean community for the next 100 years. 

The ambassadors form teams, including interpreters, media experts, event information support, online public relations, and performance consolations, embarking on their meaningful volunteer journey.

These dedicated youth will receive an official letter of appointment, uniforms, and the opportunityto apply for the prestigious U.S. Presidential Volunteer Award, along with chances to visit Korean history experience sites.

The Youth Public Relations Ambassador Steering Committee, led by Kim In-ja, collaborates with esteemed individuals like Professor Woo Hye-young of Portland State University, Principal Ho Seon-hee of Unified Korean School, Park Seon-hye from the Korean Association Youth Dream Team, and Andy Kim, director of the Korean Association, ensuring the success and impact of this empowering initiative.
